Systems of Government

Last and certainly not least is a republic, a state in which the supreme power rests in the body of citizens entitled to vote and is exercised by representatives.
I however fear that America has started to stray from a true republic. On paper and in theory sure we are a republic, but look over the list above and see what other types you start to see slowly creeping in and gaining control.

I don't think America has been a republic for a long time. We are ruled by a group of Rulers that changes slightly over time, but who are moving only in the direction of a police-state, regardless of the wishes of the people. Of course, the media is used to manipulate the opinions of just enough of the population to keep a revolution from occurring.
