Wonderful Piece of History About to Take Place

My salute to the Oath Keepers and the wonderful opportunity that will be afforded to all true patriots to take part in a momentous event. You can read all about it here.

That's One Small Step for Obama, One Giant Leap for Socialism

TREASURY TO STRIP CERBERUS OF STAKE IN CHRYSLER

"Cerberus Capital Management is expected to be an early casualty of the Treasury's rescue of the hobbled automaker, as the buyout firm will lose its 80 percent equity stake in Chrysler, The Wall Street Journal reported, citing people familiar with the matter.

According to the article, which cites an unnamed Obama administration official, Cerberus' equity stake in Chrysler is now worthless, effectively ending its ownership of the car company." [link]

Just as easy as that, the Obama administration takes away ownership of a private firm and is now the controlling interest of a private sector company. That is socialism folks, when the government runs everything. The means of production is centrally (governmental) controlled. What or who is next?

This From a "Constitutional Lawyer"?

"His [Obama's] announcement Monday of a new position on bailing out Detroit went beyond a desire to be sure tax dollars were not wasted in bailing out struggling companies. It put the Obama administration squarely in the position of adopting a so-called industrial policy, in which government officials, not business executives or the free market, decided what kinds of products a company would make and how it would chart its future." [link]

I am pretty sure there is nothing in the Constitution that grants this type of power to the president. Industry is not and should not be the business of government. The business of government is very strictly laid out in the U.S. Constitution. However it is rarely if ever adhered to except when the government can use it for its purposes.

Quote for the Day

"The right of self-defense is the first law of nature; in most governments it has been the study of rulers to confine this right within the narrowest possible limits. ... and [when] the right of the people to keep and bear arms is, under any color or pretext whatsoever, prohibited, liberty, if not already annihilated, is on the brink of destruction." --St. George Tucker, Judge of the Virginia Supreme Court 1803

More News on the State Sovereignty Fight

"There's an old joke in South Carolina: Confederate President Jefferson Davis may have surrendered at the Burt-Stark mansion in Abbeville, S.C., in 1865, but the people of state Rep. Michael Pitts's district never did. With revolutionary die-hards behind him, Mr. Pitts has fired a warning shot across the bow of the Washington establishment. As the writer of one of 28 state "sovereignty bills" – one even calls for outright dissolution of the Union if Washington doesn't rein itself in – Pitts is at the forefront of a states' rights revival, reasserting their say on everything from stem cell research to the Second Amendment." [link]

Gotta keep up the push for the federal government to start respecting what powers were granted it by the people. Anything else is a power grab that is unconstitutional and illegal.

On a side note, Kentucky "legislatures" allowed the bill to languish in committee and did not allow it to see the floor for a vote. Their session is over for this year, so you might as well say it failed via "procedure".

More Keyboard and Monitor Ruiners

For some reason these always make me laugh. Even though they should in reality be making me cry and storm about in a rage. But oh well, some humor is definitely needed at times.

"Geithner: Government is the Answer to Solve Financial Crisis" [link] Yeah, yeah, we know. The government is the answer to all of life's ills.

"Obama to Dole More Government Aid to GM, Chrysler" [link] Is it me, or haven't we done this already?

"Obama to Sign Lands Bill Before 5 Days of Comment" [link] Surprise, surprise another lie. And an absolutely hilarious quote from the same story: "In most cases, we have posted legislation with five days' notice."

"Al Gore Leaves The Light On For Ya (Gore Residence Lit Up For "Earth Hour")" [link]

"U.N. 'Climate Change' Plan Would Likely Shift Trillions to Form New World Economy" [link]

Well, that's about all the laughs I can handle for a little bit. I hope all of you enjoy these headlines and the links to the stories. And remember, this is actual news not parody.

Guns Safer Than Skiing or Riding a Bike if My Faulty Math Were Correct

Okay, I admit it, I made a horrible mistake. However I will leave it intact for the world to see. Unlike some people, I will accept full responsibility for my honest mistake and not try and shift the blame elsewhere. The correct math would be 142 firearms death per million. So skiing and riding a bike are still safer so to speak. Anyone know of a study that takes into account firearm deaths without the criminal element added. Because we all know a criminal by definition will not follow the laws anyway. If anyone would still like a stat that is in line with firearms how about, from 1990-2004 vehicle fatalities never fell below 145 per million! So guns are still safer than cars. [link] **Also, my sincerest apologies to Mr. Codrea for having him link to an erroneous post. I hope he will accept my sincerest apologies.**

From time to time you hear things so many times that it becomes ingrained. Regardless of whether or not there is any truth to it at all. This is always a favorite tactic employed by politicians. Reach enough people with the same message long enough and they will start to believe it. But even more sinister than getting people to believe something is when facts are employed but twisted within their framework so as to still remain true, but look completely different.

Where am I going with this? Bear with me just a moment longer and let me show some statistics of injuries and deaths in some common recreational activities:

"...skiing had a death rate of 2.1 fatalities per million participants, compared to swimming with 26 per million, bicycling with 12 per million and soccer with 6 fatalities per million."
[link]

Now let's look at these numbers:

"...according to a study published April 17, 1998 by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in the International Journal of Epidemiology. The U.S. was first at 14.24 gun deaths per 100,000 people. Two other countries in the Americas came next. Brazil was second with 12.95, followed by Mexico with 12.69." [link]

Now, did anyone else catch that. The first example used deaths per million, but when we start talking about "evil" guns we change to deaths per 100K. Why would that be? Maybe because if we looked at deaths per million with guns the U.S. would only be 1.42 deaths per million! Which would make firearms, even in the hands of criminals much safer than skiing, cycling, swimming, and commercial aviation! Where is the outrage to start banning these deadly sports?

It should also be noted that the CDC study included all gun deaths whether accidental, negligent, or criminal activity. Wonder what the numbers would be on gun deaths if the criminal aspect was removed. How much safer would shooting be than some of these other "safer" sports?

Quote for the Day

"Rightful Liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add "within the law" because the law is often but the tyrant's will, and always so when it violates the rights of the individual." -- Thomas Jefferson

Take a Look Around You

Recently there has been quite a bit of talk about how Obama is pushing the country toward socialism via several different routes. You have the nationalization plans, "social reforms", taxing the productive, etc... All things that make for a socialized nation. There is only one problem with all of this. We are already a socialist nation. Obama is merely putting the icing on the cake.

Don't believe me? The banks have already been nationalized. That happened back in 1913 under Woodrow Wilson. Refer to my Quote for the Day to see what he eventually thought of that. Nationalized health care? Already got it. Maybe not in the terms of European nationalized medicine, but we are not far off. Look at all the hoops doctors here have to jump through to get anything done already. Hospitals have to render services to anyone who comes through their doors regardless of their ability to pay. Who do you think picks up the tab on this? Ever wonder why your health insurance premiums continue to go up yet you hardly ever use your insurance other than routine doctor office visits and prescription drugs?

American taxpayers, depending on your sources, have to work the first 3-5 months of the year to pay their taxes. In other words roughly 3-5 months worth of pay goes straight to the government. After that, you may "keep" the rest.

Make no doubt about it, America is already well on its way to being anything but the nation the founding fathers envisioned.

Do a brief exercise with me for a minute. Imagine that Jefferson, Adams, Madison, Franklin, etc... were around today, that things are exactly as they are now and these men had the same lofty ideals they did 230+ years ago. What would they do? What would they be saying? How long before they re-declared independence?

Quote for the Day

"I am a most unhappy man. I have unwittingly ruined my country. A great industrial nation is controlled by its system of credit. Our system of credit is concentrated. The growth of the nation, therefore, and all our activities are in the hands of a few men. We have come to be one of the worst ruled, one of the most completely controlled and dominated Governments in the civilized world no longer a Government by free opinion, no longer a Government by conviction and the vote of the majority, but a Government by the opinion and duress of a small group of dominant men." -Woodrow Wilson, after signing the Federal Reserve into existence

Quote for the Day

How strangely will the Tools of a Tyrant pervert the plain Meaning of Words! --Samuel Adams

Connecticut School Bans Physical Contact

A Connecticut middle school principal has laid down the law: You put your hands on someone -- anyone -- in any way, you're going to pay...Students and parents are outraged. They said the new policy means no high-fives and hugs, as well as horseplay of any kind. The consequences could be dire, Williams warned in the letter...

Now it's almost as if it's a sanitized school. Where you have to keep your distance from everybody? And that's not what school is about," one father said. [link]

Although I would have to agree that this policy takes things way too far. I can't say that I actually agree with the last question by a concerned father. In a way he is correct, but there is something else that needs to be looked at. He is correct in asserting that keeping your distance is not what school is all about, however that is what public education is all about.

Our current public educational system as it is now is not about education, but about indoctrination, group think, collectivism, and getting children used to "following the rules". This was the entire reason behind the Prussian system which our current system is not just based on, but copied exactly from the Prussian system.

Its sole purpose is to try and get everyone to view things the same, those that don't are labeled (such as learning disability, behavior disability, and others) usually to the detriment of their education. Individualism and individual learning are discouraged. Just because someone may take a little more time to learn to read does not necessarily mean they are learning disabled. And what happens if one child exhibits unusual talents above their "grade level"? They are usually asked to help the other children in the class and not given an opportunity to see how much they can improve their talents.

Public education is not broken, and does not more money put into it. It works just as it was designed to work. If people want to see better results they need to look at the system as a whole and not just at parts of it. For an excellent article that captures the abuses of the modern system much better than I do, go here.

Government Takeover of Private Businesses

In testimony before the House Financial Services committee that just adjourned, Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner just had to defend his institutional takeover plan against charges of radicalism.

"Do you realize how radical your proposal is?" Rep. Donald Manzullo (R-Ill.) asked.

"It's not radical. . ." Geither began, before Manzullo interrupted him.

"You're talking about seizing private businesses and you don't consider that radical?" Manzullo replied, his voice rising.

Manzullo is trying to get Geithner to give details of the plan -- that's where Geithner got stung before -- but Geithner doesn't have them yet.

If the plan were not radical, Manzullo said to Geithner, "you would have answers to some of my questions, such as, what size business would be subject to this?" [link]

What an interesting conversation that was. Geithner has no answer for a representative that asked him about the administrations plan to seize private business if they see fit. At least some people are starting to get outraged finally. The government is going too far and they need to be sent a swift message.

Quote for the Day

“It is interesting to hear certain kinds of people insist that the citizen cannot fight the government. This would have been news to the men of Lexington and Concord, as well as the Mujahedeen in Afghanistan. The citizen most certainly can fight the government, and usually wins when he tries. Organized national armies are useful primarily for fighting against other organized national armies. When they try to fight against the people, they find themselves at a very serious disadvantage. If you will just look around at the state of the world today, you will see that the guerillero has the upper hand. Irregulars usually defeat regulars, providing they have the will. Such fighting is horrible to contemplate, but will continue to dominate brute strength.” --Col. Jeff Cooper

Man Saves Wife From Mugger, Yet Police Discourage Fighting Back

"Going to the aid of his wife as she and an armed man struggled over her purse in the parking lot of the Wal-Mart Supercenter in west Little Rock on Monday night, a 63-year-old dentist pulled out a .357-caliber revolver and opened fire, striking the would-be robber in the buttocks, police said Tuesday."

I am just going to warn you. There are some absolutely ridiculous statements by "authorities" that will follow.

"Little Rock police spokesman Sgt. Cassandra Davis said the department generally discourages people from using force to fend off robbers...Instead, Davis said, she would recommend that people cooperate with the robber and “be a good witness,” paying attention to what the robber looks like, remembering what he says and making note of the weapon he uses and the vehicle he drives." [link]

How about we disregard the fact that the mugger here pulled a gun and was pointing it at the man and his wife. He did what any armed person would do (I use this statement, because I have yet to figure out what a gun-grabber would do. I suppose watch their wife get raped and then let themselves get killed) he used cover and fought back.

Things like this always make me think of a pair of Col. Jeff Cooper's quotes: "Fight back! Whenever you are offered violence, fight back! The aggressor does not fear the law, so he must be taught to fear you. Whatever the risk, and at whatever the cost, fight back!"

And

"We continue to be exasperated by the view, apparently gaining momentum in certain circles, that armed robbery is okay as long as nobody gets hurt! The proper solution to armed robbery is a dead robber, on the scene."

You've Heard the Phrase "Follow the Money"

"In 2000 and 2001, while Barack Obama served as a board member for a Chicago-based charitable foundation, he helped to fund a pioneering carbon trading exchange that is likely to fill a critical role in the controversial cap-and-trade carbon reduction scheme that President Obama is now trying to push rapidly through Congress." [link]

In other words while on acting as a board member he helped to get a "stock market" started that deals in greenhouse gases. Now this next part is pure conjecture, but wonder how much of his own money he has invested in this? It is well documented that Al Gore has ties with this same exchange. Wonder how many other people there are yelling to the top of their lungs trying to get this cap-and-trade passed have a huge chunk of money on the line?

CCW Holder Kill's Armed Robber

"Police said a man wearing a ski mask walked into the store at Biscayne Boulevard and 54th Street and demanded money from a clerk. A customer, who has a concealed weapons permit, pulled a gun, said Officer Jeff Giordano, a Miami police spokesman. The customer and robber exchanged fire. The robber was shot dead at the scene." [link]

I wonder just how many lives this man may have just saved?

Is it Just Me, Or Has Anyone Else Noticed a Trend?

It is always a tragedy when a human life is lost regardless of how it happens. It is even more tragic when the end comes in an outburst of violence.

Usually after reading something like this you can just about guarantee something about how we need more gun control in order to make our streets safe and protect our children. Well, sorry to disappoint, but this post will not go that way. What I have noticed recently, and would like to find out if anyone else has noticed? Is if it is just me or are there more shootings going on now? Or is the media focusing more on the shootings that are taking place to help strengthen Obama's agenda on promoting the gun ban?

I am sure sociologist could attribute some of the violence to the state of the economy. But how much more coverage are these shootings getting national attention in the media now than they were just several months ago? If the media is bringing attention to these things now that there is an anti-gunner in the White House then you can add another unethical notch to their belt.

For me I am sort of enjoying watching a lot of these huge "liberal" newspapers fall, I just hope congress doesn't decide to use my money to try and stabilize them, but I am sure they will there is already talk about a "newspaper bailout".

I guess that is about enough ranting for today.

Quote for the Day

"To ban guns because criminals use them is to tell the innocent and law-abiding that their rights and liberties depend not on their own conduct, but on the conduct of the guilty and the lawless, and that the law will permit them to have only such rights and liberties as the lawless will allow... For society does not control crime, ever, by forcing the law-abiding to accommodate themselves to the expected behavior of criminals. Society controls crime by forcing the criminals to accommodate themselves to the expected behavior of the law-abiding." -- Jeff Snyder

More Lies and Power Grabs

"...[Obama]failed to consult Congress, as promised, before carving out exceptions to the omnibus spending bill he signed into law — breaking his own signing-statement rules two days after issuing them — and raised questions among lawmakers and committees who say the president's objections are unclear at best and a power grab at worst..." [link]

I think that after seeing all the lies, backhanded dealings, rhetoric, blaming others, etc... That we have a tyrant in the making. He is doing all he can to get as much power into his hands as possible while attempting to console the public while he does so. There were plenty of people before the election that warned about what type of person Obama was and what he would do to the country. I fear we are only starting to see a small portion of what he has in mind for the country.

Some Humor

Great link for a list of top 5 mistakes Obama has blamed someone else for making. A little bit too lengthy for me to list them all, but I will post one or two and if interested you can go to the link and read them all for yourself.

"...Barack Obama said that, yes, he wanted to "ban the manufacture, sale and possession of handguns." That answer wasn't problematic for him in a run at the state Senate in Illinois, but hewing to that position would have made it impossible for him to get elected as President. So, Obama claimed a staffer filled out the questionnaire for him and got the answer wrong. One problem: his handwritten notes were "on the front page of the questionnaire."

"...after Obama was elected, he became enmeshed in scandal as Rod Blagojevich got caught trying to sell his Senate seat. So, what to do? Well, you know our President: he blamed Rahm Emanuel." [link]

You just gotta love how this man has made a career out of lying and then covering up his mistakes with more lies. No wonder he is such a successful politician. He is at the head of the pack when it comes to lying. Only problem is he gets caught up in it so easily. People are now starting to see through the haze a little bit and realize we have a person in power that is in way over their head and really has no idea on how to be president. But good for a laugh nonetheless.

Quote for the Day

"I am well aware of the Toil and Blood and Treasure, that it will cost Us to maintain this Declaration, and support and defend these States. Yet through all the Gloom I can see the Rays of ravishing Light and Glory. I can see that the End is more than worth all the Means. And that Posterity will tryumph in that Days Transaction, even altho We should rue it, which I trust in God We shall not." -- John Adams (1776)

The Banana Republic and the Counterfeiting Government

"Peter Schiff, who has correctly predicted much of the present financial calamity that is destroying the wealth of millions of Americans, now says that with the Federal Reserve's decision to print money by the truckload, "America has now become a banana republic." [link]

"Now US Federal Reserve chairman Ben Bernanke has revealed part of the answer: the central bank itself will buy $US300 billion of US Treasury bonds and pay for them by electronically printing the money." [link]

Now, I understand that more often than not economics is a very tricky subject, so I will simplify the above in layman's terms. What the Fed will now do (they like to make it sound technical by using the term "electronically printing money") is change the way that they calculate intake, expenditure, overhead, etc... Actually it really doesn't matter, they are doing two very simple things that if a private citizen or a business were to do they would wind up doing time in a federal pen. They are quite simply "cooking the books" or changing the numbers in however they feel will best serve their purpose, and they are counterfeiting.

What I would like to focus on for a moment is the counterfeiting part. There are several reasons why "counterfeiting" is bad, especially when done by the government. If we realize that Federal Reserve Notes (FRN's) are a means of measuring a persons work output, then we can really start to get upset at what the government has been doing. What I mean by this is, if you work, sale items, do something for "money" your work is rewarded by being paid something. More often than not this is symbolized by a paycheck which you can exchange for FRN's. Now, the more FRN's that are in circulation without being backed by someones work the more the value goes down. In other words if out of the blue the government printed enough FRN's to give everyone in America $1million the price of everything would go up drastically, because the value of the FRN has been diluted. This is why the government is always after those pesky citizen counterfeiters, they don't like competition in the FRN market.

So in reality every time the government prints money because it feels like it, it is actually stealing from every hard working American by devaluing their work, ideas, productivity, industriousness, etc...

Make sure when they come out you take at least a large wheelbarrow full to the store it will probably take that many at least to buy a loaf of bread and a gallon of milk.

Quote for the Day

"If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all property until their children wake up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered." --Thomas Jefferson

Military demands details on soldiers' private guns

"A military commander at Fort Campbell in Kentucky demanded his soldiers give him the registration numbers of any guns they own privately and then reveal where they are stored. The order was stopped, according to base officials, when it was discovered the commander was not "acting within his authority.'" [link]

Now that is just plain scary. What reason would the army need to know who owns guns and where they are stored?

Also, isn't it funny how some things can be stopped when it is discovered that someone was not "acting within his authority"? How about stopping members of Congress who are constantly doing things not within their authority.

A Prime Example of Why He Uses Teleprompters

"...And then it happened. Mr Obama said: “It’s like – it was like the Special Olympics, or something.” And in the instant he said it, you could see a flash of realisation in his eyes: I’ve just mocked the disabled. On live TV." [link]

It is a good thing he was elected for his ability to talk because his policies are going to ruin us...Oh wait a minute, he can't speak either unless it is scripted. Guess we're screwed regardless then

Where Is the Closest Tall Oak Tree?

Missouri Governor Stands Behind MIAC Smear Report

"Nixon defends document that equates Ron Paul supporters & people who display bumper stickers with terrorists, says feds will continue to issue similar reports." [link]

Well, honestly if the federal government and others in "power" take this view. Then Claire Wolfe's quote is not longer relevant, because if they think this way about people that know and understand the Constitution then they don't give a damn about anything else sacred in this country.

Administration to Have Farmers Register

How about we take a brief look at a new bill offered up in Congress? Please take a look at H.R. 875, the Food Safety Modernization Act of 2009. The above link is the bill as it appears in the House. The bill in the senate is S. 510.

What these bills propose, is that anyone who produces food of any kind and then transports it for sale, must register with the government. Under a new agency dubbed the "Food Safety Administration". There is no waiver, even for those that sale at Farmers Markets. Even worse those that do register agree to federal agents inspecting their property as well as all records related to food production.

What is quite ironic about all of this is that now the Obama's are starting a garden at the Whitehouse. Isn't it nice that since they are rich and have the means, they can grow their own food as a privilege instead of having to rely on their crops for their livelihood?

Just remember there are three things needed for a successful Revolution. Food, health, and money. And as is evident Obama is not starting to try and limit all three. What is he afraid of?

We Need To Ask: For What Purpose?

"President Obama's budget would generate deficits averaging almost $1 trillion a year over the next decade, according to the latest congressional estimates, significantly worse than predicted by the White House just last month...Obama's budget will produce $9.3 trillion worth of red ink over 2010-2019. That's $2.3 trillion worse than the White House predicted in its budget... By the end of the decade, the deficit would exceed 5 percent of gross domestic product, a dangerously high level...White House spokesman Robert Gibbs said Friday that the new projections won't stop Obama from achieving his goals or keeping his promise to cut the country's red ink in half within four years." [link]

Given this information I think that it is imperative to ask, if the outlook for this plan is this bad, something that will literally cripple the nations economy, and effect every single American in one way or another, then Obama, what is your purpose? What are your goals? What is your agenda?

Is it not already evident that the best interest of the country are not his goals and objectives, but rather some other socioeconomic political agenda?

Laws that forbid the carrying of arms... disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes... Reader Feedback?

I am sure that quite a few people come across this site and think it is completely an anti-Obama site. While for the past month or so the majority of the things I post on here have had to do with Obama and his administration one must look past the people or the headlines. I have been spreading the word about the losses of liberty, freedom, and outright corruption that goes on in the United States. It just so happens that Obama happens to be the one that is pushing and/or allowing for these violations of the Constitution to happen. Had I been blogging when Bush was in office you would have seen the same types of posts. They are both shredders of the United States Constitution and I hold no respect or gratitude to either one. In other words I am and equal opportunity opponent of tyranny and anything that limits freedom.

I now ask you the readers of this blog to tell me what you would like to read about? What stories would you like to hear about? What ideas would you like to see me promote? (As long as they are pro-freedom). I will still continue to do what I am doing, and appreciate the visits from those of you that are regular visitors and your reassuring comments and advice.

Obama Claims He's Responsible, Then Blames Other People

Once again, from the King of Contradiction, the Liar-in-Chief, the Rascal of Rhetoric, OK so you get the point.

"President Obama has mastered the art of employing rhetoric that makes it sound as if he's doing something uniquely virtuous and heroic when in reality he's doing stuff that political leaders often do. [That would be lie for those of you who haven't figured this out yet] We've seen this with the way he touts bipartisanship while being unwilling to offer real compromises or the way he proclaims he isn't hiring lobbyists when he actually is..." [link]

Glad to see this is starting to get more and more coverage. Eventually he will end up destroying his own credibility. Just wonder if he will do this before he destroys the country?

Forced to Volunteer?

There is currently a bill that has passed the House. The "GIVE Act as it is affectionately known. You can read a summary here, or the full version here.

"...the bill's opponents...say it could cram ideology down the throats of young "volunteers," many of whom could be forced into service since the bill creates a "Congressional Commission on Civic Service. The bipartisan commission will be tasked with exploring a number of topics, including "whether a workable, fair and reasonable mandatory service requirement for all able young people could be developed and how such a requirement could be implemented in a manner that would strengthen the social fabric of the nation." [link]

Now don't get me wrong, I feel that if you want to give back to your community that is a wonderful thing. By all means go ahead and do what you feel you must do. The part that concerns me at this point (aside from the cost) is the mandatory service requirement. This has not been fully hashed out yet, but it could be a possibility. The main problem with this requirement is a little thing called the 13th Amendment. You know the one that abolished slavery and states: "Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction."

That part about involuntary servitude is a real deal killer there, or should be. Of course when you have an administration and a congress that don't give one damn about the United States Constitution who knows what they will enact or force the American people to do.

Check Your Trees

"The Federal Reserve sharply stepped up its efforts to bolster the economy on Wednesday, announcing that it would pump an extra $1 trillion into the financial system by purchasing Treasury bonds and mortgage securities...The action makes the Fed a buyer of long-term government bonds rather than the short-term debt that it typically buys and sells to help control the money supply." [link]

Does anyone else wonder where this money comes from? If any of you out there have money trees in your yards, or on your property, I would advise checking them daily. I think the Fed might be using civilian money trees to tinker with the economy.

Obama Received "Bonus" From AIG and Other Oddities

"Senator Barack Obama received a $101,332 bonus from American International Group in the form of political contributions according to Opensecrets.org. The two biggest Congressional recipients of bonuses from the A.I.G. are - Senators Chris Dodd and Senator Barack Obama." [link]

I almost have to believe that someone is making all this up and we are all just part of a really big parody skit. There are some other clues out there that point to Obama being one of the best comedians ever. I mean anyone who gets praise for being such a wonderful orator and then thanks himself in a speech due to a teleprompter mistake... Or speaker of the house Nancy Pelosi posting very odd and out there videos on youtube. No seriously she posted a video about her and two cats on capital hill. I could not watch it all, very strange to say the least.

And He Claims He "Supports" the 2nd Amendment

"...Obama is quietly ending the federal firearms program, risking public safety on airlines in the name of an anti-gun ideology. The Obama administration this past week diverted some $2 million from the pilot training program to hire more supervisory staff, who will engage in field inspections of pilots...Pilots cannot openly speak about the changing policies for fear of retaliation from the Transportation Security Administration. Pilots who act in any way that causes a “loss of confidence” in the armed pilot program risk criminal prosecution as well as their removal from the program." [link]

All this coming from the man who supposedly "supports the 2nd Amendment". We can see even more attacks against our freedoms if we only look. How about this: "...renewing and making permanent the ban on so-called “assault weapons...", or even this, "Department of Defense has decided to no longer sell empty, once-fired cartridge cases as surplus to companies that polish and reload those empties... If you can’t ban the gun, dry up the ammunition supply. That seems to be the popular theory about what is behind this change of policy. My colleague, David Codrea, also weighs in on this controversy here." [link] **

Yes, make no mistake about it, our rights are coming under attack, and not just our firearms rights but nearly every other right we hold sacred and cherish. Keep visiting here or go back and read some of my archived posts. Visit the links I have up, visit the blogs I read, you will see a picture forming that there is in fact an outright assault on our rights. Now is the time to start pushing back.

**You can rest a small bit, but now long. Word has just come in that the DOD has rescinded their orders to scrap once fired brass. Seems like quite a few freedom lovers and 2nd Amendment supporters got the word out and started rattling the right chains loud enough.

Label Me a "Terrorist"!

Yep you read that right. According to a new report by a "government agency" I am now a terrorist. I guess considering what they say though, I should wear this label proudly, and I guess I will. Read the report. If you are interested in becoming a "terrorist" yourself follow some of the guidelines in this report as well as visiting and promoting the following sites, and videos. For the videos you can click on this or on this one. Pretty sure both with get you labeled. Also make sure that you buy merchandise and support the views put forth by these videos and the report mentioned at first.

Also visit these sites and be active/contribute and you can guarantee that the powers that be will notice you: the Libertarian Party website, one of Ron Paul's sites, and Chuck Baldwin's, Constitution Party's website.

Also, visit all the blogs on my blog roll. They are all freedom lovers and are no doubt labeled as "terrorist". And since I am at it, I might as well add some images to really set me apart from the rest of the "terrorists", you can click on the images for their history.

My Individual Protest, or Bottling Day

Several weeks ago I wrote a piece about the small everyday things a person can do on an individual basis to "thumb their nose" at government. In this post I talked about legal ways to keep from paying certain taxes. One of the things I discussed was making your own beer or wine to keep from having to pay "sin taxes" on alcohol.

Well I have made a pledge to myself that I will no longer buy any form of taxed alcohol after Kentucky's new alcohol tax goes into effect. Several weeks ago I bought a beer making kit and all the necessary tools to go along with being able to set up home brewing for personal enjoyment. Today will be the day I bottle my first batch of beer. If all goes well, not only will I have "thumbed my nose" at government and refused them some of my hard earned money, but I will also have picked up a new, enjoyable hobby.

I urge each and everyone of you to find some small way to make a difference yourself. Very rarely in human history have vast changes come quickly. More often than not the changes come very slowly and over a period of time. Start doing your part to erode what authority you can however you can.*

*I do not recommend that anyone do anything illegal to do this, there are plenty of ways to subvert authority and government in perfectly legal ways. All you have to do is have a little imagination and determination.

What is Freedom?

Recently I have had several emails asking me to define just what I mean by freedom. At first I thought this to be a joke or an attempt to lure me into some sort of philosophical argument. However I discovered it to be neither upon replying to those emails. It seems there is quite a bit of confusion about what freedom is and what it entails, so I thought I would post a blog piece about my view(s) of freedom in order to clear up the confusion.

First off it would probably be easiest if I gave a definition of freedom. I found the following to be to my liking: the right to do what you want without being controlled or restricted by anyone. I would like to add that here it is important to note that the "anyone" does not necessarily mean an individual, but can also refer to and entity such as a government agency, or the government itself.

Here is where some people start to get confused. On taking this definition literally it means that I have the right to: take, hit, steal, etc... from anyone, that is not necessarily correct and I will explain. As a human I have the freedom to make those choices if I so choose (it does not mean they are the right or the correct choice). However I must be ready to assume any and all responsibilities/consequences that come my way as well for acting in such a manner.

Freedom as defined by myself and quite a few freedom loving folk around the world quite simply is allowing us to do what we please with our lives, as we see fit, when we see fit, without any outside interference; so long as we do not infringe on the rights/freedoms of others. That last part is very key to our philosophy as a whole. We would not be very good proponents of freedom if we tried to force our will onto others, however we will not stand for others forcing their will upon us either. This may sound confusing, and sometimes at first it is. However you can look at it this way any attempt to subvert, destroy, or limit our freedoms is taken as a sign of force and will/could be met with force itself.

Simply put we/I do not care if you only want to wear one sock and one shoe to work, with a necktie around your arm, and have four or five spouses. That is completely your business, it does not harm us in any way. However attempt to tell us that we cannot own firearms, brew our own beer, drive our gas guzzling SUV's and you will be put in your place quickly.

Freedom is not easy and not for the faint of heart. With freedom comes incredible responsibility and self reliance. However there are great rewards in being truly free and rewards that we feel are worth fighting for. We will not give up our fight for freedom. True freedom that is, not this pseudo-freedom that is plastered across America right now. True freedom would be to repeal all income taxes, repeal nearly every single gun law ever written (quite possibly the only true gun law should be the one that makes it illegal for violent criminals to own guns, and the strict law that enforces it), stop the war on drugs (didn't prohibition teach anyone anything), and follow the Constitution of the United States to the letter.

4 minutes and 33 seconds every American should watch

Not much to say here other than watch it and take it to heart!

Keyboard and Monitor Ruiners

Pelosi Denies She's Partisan
"There seems to be a market for saying that I am very partisan...That simply is not true," Pelosi said." [link]
At this point, isn't this about like saying Obama doesn't lie?

Microsoft Gets Stimulus Money
"The software giant, which is sitting on $20bn in cash, was awarded $11m to help construct a highway overpass connecting two parts of its Redmond, Washington campus." [link]
This one makes excellent sense to me as well. I guess everyone but your average American gets a piece of the stimulus.

Treasury pressure leads to AIG scaling back bonuses[link]
Isn't it wonderful how companies that were/are going under use taxpayer money to get as much as they can before they shut down?

Mexican drug lord makes Forbes' billionaire list [link]

Explain to me one more time how the "War on Drugs" is working, and I should be overjoyed to share my hard earned money via taxes to help fund it?

That should about do it for today. I have to find a towel to clean my monitor and keyboard now.

Our Tax Dollars Really Are Worth Sh*t!

Honestly, much can't be said about this. Watch it and come up with your own commentary.

Federal Appeals Court Rules: Lawmaker Did Not Understand His Own Law?

Yes, you read the title correct. In the following piece and the article it comes from a federal appeals court upheld the dismissal of a law suit based mainly on the grounds that the intent of the law was not fully understood. Surprisingly one of the plaintiffs that wanted to law upheld was the lawmaker who wrote the law himself!?

"News outlets across the country are reporting that a federal appeals court in Atlanta yesterday upheld the dismissal of a lawsuit that sought to stop the City of Atlanta from arresting people carrying firearms in the unsecured areas of Atlanta’s airport...The basis for the judges’ decision is a determination that the new law was not intended to include airports. Ironically, Georgia General Assembly Representative Tim Bearden (R-68), who wrote the new law, is also the plaintiff who filed the lawsuit to enforce it. It is a rare event for the author of a law to be a party arguing in court over what the law means, and it is extremely rare for the court to conclude that the law meant something completely different from what its writer intended...Rep. Bearden still showed visible signs of frustration with the court’s decision. "We write the laws, not judges,". [link]

Sounds to me like another good case for:

A Second Look

"Despite his solemn promise to the American people to keep lobbyists out of his Administration, two more have slipped in...The waivers were provided for Jocelyn Frye, director of policy and projects in the Office of the First Lady, and Cecilia Munoz, director of intergovernmental affairs in the executive office of the president." [link]

Is anyone starting to keep a running tally on how many times we have been lied to now by this administration? I know a lot of places are just starting to break it down into categories instead of individual lies. Any idea how long this will continue to go on?

Obama Has Links to Murderers

"Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn are currently hailed by the Left as “respected” university professors—Ayers in the University of Illinois’ education department, and Dohrn at Northwestern University’s School of Law. In the mid-1990s, both were instrumental in helping to launch 34-year-old Barack Obama’s political career in Chicago...heir consistent refrain has been that none of the thirty bombs which their organization detonated ever harmed anyone other than three fellow Underground members who were killed in March 1970, when a bomb they were constructing—and were planning to detonate at a Fort Dix, New Jersey dance attended by Army soldiers—exploded unexpectedly in their lab...Larry Grathwohl—a former FBI informant who actually infiltrated the Weather Underground and held private meetings and conversations with Ayers...Grathwohl and his fellow speakers...urged the Obama Justice Department to investigate the very people, Ayers and Dohrn, who first helped Obama gain a foothold in politics..." [link]

You can bet this will play out with lies, deceptions, cover ups, etc... These are the types of people that Obama associates with and links himself to.

A Must Read

Kent's "Hooligan Libertarian" Blog

Talk about an eye opener. This short blog post sums up how liberty is viewed nowadays. I am personally going to print this post and keep it with me at all times, just to remind me what has truly changed.

He Emulates Washington

Minnesota Teen Finds Drug Money, Gives Away Thousands
"A 16-year-old Minnesota boy has given away thousands of dollars to fellow students and a school aide. The bag full of money he found was apparently tossed by a drug dealer...A sheriff's deputy says he's "a good kid" who was trying to help people in need." [link]

Does anyone see anything wrong with this? Isn't he just doing as he has seen done? Seems to me he is practicing a grassroots Congress movement. He took money that was not his and distributed it to those he felt were in need. Just as Obama and Congress just recently did, and as our government has been doing for decades now.

Another Lie! They Just Keep Coming

He really has a hard time with the truth doesn't he?
