Can Anyone Say SPIN?

It has been some time since the story about the American Marie Antoinette broke, but this is the best that the spin doctors in Washington can come up with.  Give me a break!

Obama's Safe Schools Czar

Kevin Jennings was teaching high school in 1988 when a gay student confessed an involvement with an older man. Rather than reporting it, he told the boy, "I hope you know how to use a condom." [link]

Wonder when more people will start to question the ability of Obama and his administration to vet the people that it puts into places of power and influence? When you start to look at the issues that have come to light over the history and beliefs of many of them you begin to wonder if the administration is really this inept, or for what purpose are these types of people being placed in the positions they are in.

The Power Grab Continues: Control of the Internet

"...allow the president to "declare a cybersecurity emergency and order the limitation or shutdown of Internet traffic to and from any compromised federal government or United States critical infrastructure information system or network...But the bill is unclear about how broad the president's power is. And what's more troubling to some is the application of emergency responses used in other situations to an area that has never faced that kind of security test." [link]

I find it troubling that this type of legislation is floating around. It is just as troubling the vague language used. For example "critical infrastructure information system or network", couldn't that just as easily be read as "internet". Especially if you look at the internet as a tool for banking, purchasing, trading stocks, etc... Also, how many ISP providers are the local and/or regional telephone companies? Wouldn't the government consider those "critical infrastructure"? ISP service through satellite or cable providers "critical infrastructure" by saying these mediums need to be able to function in order to broadcast "news and information" in case of an actual emergency?

The case could very easily be made that this authority would indeed allow the president to order the shut down of the internet. Should we even consider the words of the new FCC czar, Mark Lloyd, "It should be clear by now that my focus here is not freedom of speech or the press,” he said. “This freedom is all too often an exaggeration. At the very least, blind references to freedom of speech or the press serve as a distraction from the critical examination of other communications policies.” [link]

I will let you draw your own conclusions.

Examples for Those That Claim "It Can't Happen Here!" (Part 1)

There is a deep rift in American society today, there are those that lean toward more government control and regulations and there are those that are strictly opposed to handing over more power and control to the government. Those that are for more government oversight are of the opinion that the government is the only entity with the funding and the know how to get certain things done. On the other side are the fears that giving too much power to the government could lead to very bad things. I, as you well know, am one of those that is strictly opposed to handing the government any more power. In fact I am of the opinion that the government needs quite a bit of its powers stripped from it, it has already overreached what was limited to it via the Constitution.

Myself and others like me are constantly told that we have nothing to worry about. That the United States Government truly has our best interest at heart and would do nothing to harm the people of this great nation. We are told that at times decisions must be made and sometimes this means a number of people feel the brunt of this decision. Sometimes as with many tough decisions this might be the case. But what I am about to discuss and show you are true cases of things the government has done that would seem like something out of the darkest fiction.

MKULTRA, might be the first time many of you have heard of this. But it was a clandestine program ran by the CIA in the 1960's. It was a mind control and chemical interrogation experiment that started out by CIA agents slipping LSD and other drugs and chemicals into each others drinks unawares. However, it eventually spiraled into tests on unknowing and unwitting citizens of the United States. Yes, you read that correct, an entity of the federal government drugged American citizens without them knowing. With at least two known deaths. [source]

But that is only the beginning, MKULTRA was actually a spin off of a program known as Operation Paperclip. Operation Paperclip was a program to recruit former Nazi scientists, many of whom had studied torture and brainwashing and had even been identified and prosecuted during the Nuremberg Trials.

Read up on those items and realize that everything mentioned so far is FACT. It is not fallacy, conjecture, paranoia, etc... Each and every one of the things I have mentioned are well documented and admitted to by the U.S. Government.

As a side note. There is a considerable amount of credible circumstantial evidence that Theodore Kaczynski (The Unabomber) participated in MKULTRA experiments at Harvard University. [source]

So don't bother telling me that "It can't happen here!" It already has and could again without eternal vigilance.

This is just part one in a multi-part look at atrocities carried out by the U.S. Government on its own citizens. Check back for part two which will be posted in the very near future.

A True Oath Keeper!

I do not know if this fine Marine veteran is a member of the Oath Keepers or not. But he certainly has the same ideals and sentiments. America needs more like this one!

"Your Papers, Please!"

Sadly we may not really be that far off from hearing something like this. Often much derided and maligned in American society was the way other nations treated their citizens in relations to identification. Now the time might be upon us, where we have to do the same.

Read full story here: "Your Paper, Please!"

Liberals: Are They Above the Law?

"A cancer-stricken Sen. Edward M. Kennedy has written a poignant letter to Massachusetts leaders asking that they change state law to allow a speedy replacement of him in Congress...The letter acknowledges the state changed its succession law in 2004 to require a special election within five months to fill any vacancy. At the time, legislative Democrats -- with a wide majority in both chambers -- were concerned because then-Republican Gov. Mitt Romney had the power to directly fill any vacancy created as Democratic Sen. John Kerry ran for president." [link]

It would seem that when there might have been a chance someone other than an ultra-lib progressive could have taken a seat long held by Kennedy the Dem's used their might to effectively keep Romney from appointing anyone. Now that a Dem is in the governors seat there is now concern for a speedy replacement? The hypocrisy on the left truly knows no bounds.

Don't misunderstand me, Republicans have done the same types of things before and it is wrong on either side and very hypocritical. Our public servants need to quit focusing so much on power grabbing and more on representing the people they are supposed to be helping.

What They Really Think!

"The Speaker of the House called you “un-American,” Harry Reid called you an “evil-monger,” and the President of the United States, well he’d just like you to “shut-up [link]

America's political elite are truly out of touch with average American's. They have shielded themselves from the people they are "supposed" to represent that they no longer live in actual reality. They live instead in "D.C. Land".

So Much for Representative Government

"I will vote adamantly against the interests of my district if I actually think what I'm doing is going to help them....I will vote against their opinion if I actually believe it will help them," Massa said. [link]

Talk about a slimy worm! This one let's the cat out of the bag in a big way doesn't he. Effectively he is saying "I do not care what you choose and want, you don't know what is good for you. I am from the government and I know what is in your best interest." Idiots like this need to be voted out of office and then derided and ridiculed until ran out of town.

From John Holdren: Obama's "Science Czar"

"Holdren wrote that "it has been concluded that compulsory population-control laws, even including laws requiring compulsory abortion, could be sustained under the existing Constitution if the population crisis became sufficiently severe to endanger the society." In a future society, "It would even be possible to require pregnant single women to marry or have abortions, perhaps as an alternative to placement for adoption, depending on the society," Holdren and his co-authors wrote." [link]

I can't really comment much on this as I am speechless. We truly have a bunch of kooks "running" the country right now. You can read some more about Holdren and his writings here. I would advice more people to do more research on each of Obama's "Czars" as well. It doesn't take much searching to find out about them, and who they have ties to. It is truly scary!

Really Want Government Controlled Health Care?

Let's just look at some facts, figures, and stats about cancer in regards to socialized medicine as opposed to what we have in the United States (for now anyway).

"Breast cancer kills 25 percent of its American victims. In Great Britain, the Vatican of single-payer medicine, breast cancer extinguishes 46 percent of its targets.

Prostate cancer is fatal to 19 percent of its American patients. The National Center for Policy Analysis reports that it kills 57 percent of Britons it strikes." [link]

You should read the rest of the article they also compare other health conditions as well. Now just today this comes out:

"Improvements in cancer screening and better treatments have resulted in steady declines in cancer death rates over the past three decades, U.S. researchers said on Thursday." [link]

Looks like an absolutely no-brainer to me, but then again we are dealing with congress aren't we?

Another Obama Plant

Thanks to the folks over at www.ar15.com for this jewel. Just click on the link and read all about Obama's latest plant.

Hurray?

It's here, it's finally here. Oh well not really anything to get excited about unless your a statist.

"In 2009, Cost of Government Day falls on August 12. That means, working people must toil 224 days out of the year just to meet all costs imposed by government. In other words, the cost of government consumes 61.34 percent of national income." [link]

Nothing quite like actually seeing how much of your hard earned money the government actually takes by force to make you nauseous is there?

I Hate to Revert to Childishness...Liar, Liar Pants, On Fire

"At a health care town hall today, President Barack Obama told a New Hampshire audience that he has never claimed to be an advocate of a single-payer health care system...But in August of last year, Obama touted single-payer systems as a promising solution to the ailing health care system...“If I were designing a system from scratch, I would probably go ahead with a single-payer system,” said then-Senator Obama." [link]

It is what it is. He might be the biggest liar ever to hold office as president.

They Don't Like the Shoe on the Other Foot

"These groups are using scare tactics and spreading smears about the President's plan for reform, trying to incite constituents into lashing out at their representatives and disrupting their events. A couple of months ago, I was interrupted by a group of socialists who shouted me down on a university campus. Two people were arrested. It wasn’t the first time I’ve been shouted down by socialists. So, I find it humorous that socialists are now demanding that public discourse take the form of polite tearoom chatter. You never seemed concerned with these tactics until you seized control of the government. I guess you could call your detractors “community disorganizers.” Welcome to the world of political hard ball." [link]

Just goes to show that they cannot stand the tactics that they have used for so long to be turned against them. They act like they never expected it to happen and gauging so far by the reactions they didn't expect this type of backlash. It only goes to show how truly out of touch they are with the people they are supposed to be representing.

Change will have to come that is obvious. The question is from what corner will change come from. Will the people become lackadaisical again and let pork projects for their area persuade their voting? Or will this finally be the wake up call that enough is enough! The people need to take their country back and not be lured by promises of easy money and jobs that could vanish overnight. This country truly does need an infrastructure overhaul, but not in the form of roads and public works. This country needs solid industry, "affordable health care" (not universal, if you want it fine, if not that's your choice), a stable currency, and less corruption in government. These would cure the ails this country has.

Not Only is He a Liar But Now Possibly a Criminal

"The White House strategy of turning supporters into snitches when they see "fishy" information about the health care debate may run afoul of the law, legal experts say." [link]

For goodness sakes. Say it ain't so. A Chicago politician doing something illegal because it would benefit his agenda. Must be made up by the "astroturf" conservative movement.

Words Truly Can Haunt You

"I need you to go out and talk to your friends and talk to your neighbors. I want you to talk to them whether they are independent or whether they are Republican. I want you to argue with them and get in their face," he said. (Said by Barack Hussein Obama in September of '08) [link] Go to this link and read the story lots of good lies in there from the liar-in-chief.

Evidently honest, hard working Americans are not allowed to "argue with them and get in their face" when it comes to the massive spending that liberal congresscritter's are forcing on this nation. In those instances it is a vast conservative conspiracy which has been plotted by insurers, lobbyists, and Republican Party activists. What are our elected representatives afraid of? Why are so many of them canceling "town hall" meetings? Isn't this the type of activities that liberals love and chomp at the bit in order to attend? Yet when the tables are flipped and the sheople realize the wolf is guarding them and they decide to offer a bit of resistance the wolf will tuck tail and run.

Obama Demands the Masses Receive His Healthcare!

"...Obama vowed on Wednesday to get a reform bill through Congress this year even without Republicans on board."

"I promise you, we will pass reform by the end of this year because the American people need it," Obama said in Wakarusa, Indiana, where he traveled to tout his economic initiatives. "We're going to have to make it happen." [link]

That last statement scares the hell out of me. Sounds like he is willing to ramrod this down the peoples throats even though a growing number of democrat "citizens" are against this legislation. Isn't this the type of thinking that tyrants and dictators since time immemorial have had. "I will get it done, because I want it!"

More on Obamacare and Pelosi

"No worries for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-San Francisco. On Tuesday, she ditched the town-hall concept in favor of a friendlier closed-to-the-public "roundtable" with health care professionals and consumers at San Francisco General Hospital.

At a news conference afterward, Pelosi proclaimed that "health care is a right, not a privilege." [link]

I guess Pelosi decided she didn't really want her actual constituents opinions on nationalized medicine. It is also good to see she does not really understand what a right is either.

They Can't Deal With Old Cars, But Let's Hand Health Care Over to Them

"They told me that the car qualified when they made the deal,” said French, a fact that a Greenway salesman, Kevin Marleton, confirmed...The complicated and ever-changing nature of the CARS program makes it difficult to determine if a dealership is even allowed to ask for a vehicle to be returned." [link]

The government can't even get things straight on this, they keep changing the regulations on nearly a daily basis. Wasn't this supposed to be a very simple program with little red tape. Now imagine if you will on a grander scale every man, woman, and child, legally or illegally in the United States were to have government controlled health care...
