Todays GRE Column

There for a while I was in the habit of linking to this from my blog. I apologize for not doing it more often, I will try to keep it up daily.

Once Again, So Much For Transparency!

"White House Won’t Reveal How Much Michelle Obama’s European Vacation Cost Taxpayers" [link]

Sometimes a headline is enough and nothing else really needs to be said.

Birds of a Feather...

"The so-called 'military coup' in Honduras was a successful effort by Honduran patriots to preserve their constitutional system of government from an international alliance of communists and socialists backed by Iran," Kincaid wrote in a column published at aim.org.

"I continue to receive messages from Honduran citizens upset at the international media for their distorted coverage of the situation in the Central American country. The people support the ouster of Manuel 'Mel' Zelaya, who is considered a puppet of Venezuelan Communist ruler Hugo Chavez. They are mystified that an American president would want to return this Chavez puppet to power in Honduras," Kincaid continued." [link]

They shouldn't be surprised Chavez said himself that Obama was more of a leftist than he was. The shame is there were millions of people that thought communism was dead when the Berlin Wall came tumbling down, and the old U.S.S.R. imploded on itself from its own weight. Guess we are in the next phase of the Marxist Experiment.

Quote for the Day

"Contemporary scholars have little explored the preconditions of genocide. Still less have they asked whether a society's weapons policy might be one of the institutional arrangements that contributes to the probability of its government engaging in some of the more extreme varieties of outrage. Though it is a long step between being disarmed and being murdered—one does not usually lead to the other— it is nevertheless an arresting reality that not one of the principal genocides of the twentieth century, and there have been dozens, has been inflicted on a population that was armed." — Daniel D.
