The War on Guns: Teabagging Obama

The War on Guns: Teabagging Obama

What an excellent idea. (Definately not what some of you are thinking).

THE BRADY CAMPAIGN TO PREVENT CIVIL RIGHTS

  • Brady’s highest-rated states have the highest average violent crime and murder rates. These states also have the lowest levels of gun ownership.
  • Only 2 of these states have shall-issue concealed carry laws.
  • Brady’s “failed” states (not enough “reasonable gun measures”) have the lowest violent crime and murder rates, and the highest levels of gun ownership.
  • All have shall-issue concealed carry laws.

All of the above from...[link]

More proof that firearm ownership deters crimes and saves lives. Any measure to take away the God given right to defend ones self is an infringement of rights, no matter how you look at it.

Nancy Pelosi says birth control will help the US economy

"...Pelosi said that "contraception will reduce costs to the states and to the federal government"." [link]

Literal translation: There are too many people in the United States, we (the government) cannot extend any more federal programs to more people, so we have to look for ways keep our population down.

The War on Guns: Why Can't We Be Friends?

Read this, link to this, add more links to your sites. Just so you know this is David Codrea working to make sure all of us 2nd-Amendment lovers can get linked together. Excellent idea David, keep up the good work.

Another Gun Grabber Doing What They Do Best

"...Kirsten Gillibrand as our new senator even though she has actively pushed legislation that would make it even harder to control illegal handguns."[link]

Wait a minute did you just say, "harder to control illegal handguns"? I thought that handguns were legal, at least in some of the free states left in America? Do none of this countries +20,000 firearms laws not already do that? Sorry I digress sir, back to your article...

"...Paterson noted that the seat had been held previously by Robert F. Kennedy. Paterson did not add that Kennedy had been murdered with a handgun."

Whoa! Now wait a minute. I thought that RFK was killed by Sirhan Sirhan? Oh, OK, I see now, your either being a revisionist, or trying to use emotion rather than logic to get your point across. At that point I close my eyes and ears to you. Aside from that I hope that when someone breaks into your home, threatens you and your family, that emergency response time is fast enough to protect you. If not they can always put that yellow tape up.

Elderly Woman Holds Intruder at Gunpoint

“I’ve got my gun out. Somebody’s trying to get in my house,” she told a dispatcher. “I’ll have to shoot him if he comes in.”[link]

But yet, gun grabbers would rather have seen this elderly woman, beaten, raped, and murdered (preferably shot so they could scream to the top of their little poison filled lungs about the evils of firearms). Too harsh you say? Then why do they continually try pass ever more stringent laws against our freedoms?

Someone please play the devil's advocate for me and explain to me how limiting firearms to any and all law abiding citizens harmful, to anyone but the government.

Quote for the Day

"The most dangerous man, to any government, is the man who is able to think things out for himself, without regard to the prevailing superstitions and taboos. Almost inevitably he comes to the conclusion that the government he lives under is dishonest, insane and intolerable, and so, if he is romantic, he tries to change it." H.L. Mencken

A Novel Approach to Gun Control

I'll be damned. Illinois has figured it out. Keep an eye out folks, before long we will see FOID legislation being pushed in Congress. If they can't ban our guns they will tie us up in red tape to keep us from purchasing any that way. Then they can say we're not keeping you from buying anything, we just have a huge backlog, just be patient, your paperwork will come through within the next 75 years.[link]

Quote for the Day

"Try this thought experiment. Pretend you're a tyrant. Among your many liberty-destroying objectives are extermination of blacks, Jews and Catholics. Which would you prefer, a United States with political power centralized in Washington, powerful government agencies with detailed information on Americans and compliant states, or power widely dispersed over 50 states, thousands of local jurisdictions and a limited federal government?" -- Walter E. Williams

The War on Guns: It's 'The Carolyn McCarthy Show'

The War on Guns: It's 'The Carolyn McCarthy Show'

This matches exactly with my I Never Knew One Existed post.

The 2nd Amendment Today Part I

Straight From the Whitehouse: I Will Infringe on the Rights of Gunowners

"Obama and Biden would repeal the Tiahrt Amendment, which restricts the ability of local law enforcement to access important gun trace information, and give police officers across the nation the tools they need to solve gun crimes and fight the illegal arms trade."[link]

OH, MY! We can not allow local law enforcement to be uninformed about vital information dealing with ongoing criminal investigations can we?

But wait lets dig into this a bit deeper...a few snippets if you will
  • Releasing the information serves no useful purpose.
  • Traced guns aren’t always “crime guns”; firearms may be traced for reasons unrelated to any armed crime.
  • Trace information remains available for law enforcement use.[Wait a minute I thought this was one of their reasons for wanting to repeal, that law enforcement did not have access?]
  • Both BATFE and the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) oppose release of trace data.
  • Even the current language has allowed too many disclosures of sensitive information.

Sounds to me like the only thing gained from repealing this would be to further his (Obama) anti-2nd Amendment agenda.

Link here for an article and more sources on this subject.

I Never Knew One Even Existed

A pro-2nd Amendment politician from NЗw YoЯk?! But of course we then get this from a "lawmaker" in the same state, "Rep. Carolyn McCarthy said yesterday Rep. Kirsten Gillibrand's gun control views make her unacceptable for the U.S. Senate" [link]

Now just try and explain to me how someone who supports the United States Constitution is unacceptable for a seat in a body who's every member takes an oath to uphold the Constitution?

Sounds to me like we need to start finding a bunch of short ropes and tall trees to deal with all the treason that is going around in Washington.

"If the government gets into business on any large scale, we soon find that the beneficiaries attempt to play a large part in the control. While in theory it is to serve the public, in practice it will be very largely serving private interests." -- Calvin Coolidge

Every Gun You Own Will Become Contraband

Yep, you read it right. There is currently a bill introduced in this session (111th) of Congress that calls for mandatory testing of gun owners, plus a tax, a biometric capable photo of yourself, and fingerprints. And if you can't pass the written test or provide anything else asked for guess what? "Every gun you own will become contraband and subject to confiscation, while you stand trial before imprisonment."

Don't believe me read the bill just click the link, select "Bill Number" and enter "HR 45" HR 45

For originating article go here.

Also for those interested, a list of proposed ban's by the anti's for the current year here.

'For the children...'

Once more, we hear the minions of gun control starting their high pitched trills. Obama is using the same old tired phrases, "common sense gun laws", "making guns in this country childproof", etc...ad nauseum.

Well I am tired of it, and so are many others. There are currently +20,000 gun laws on the books as of right now, today, at this very hour, at the exact moment you are reading this. We do need any more. How about distilling them into about a dozen or so: No violent criminals may own, possess, attempt to own, attempt to possess, etc... I think we can make that possible with half a dozen to a dozen laws.

Just check out the links embedded in title and in article for more info.

"Good intentions will always be pleaded for every assumption of authority. It is hardly too strong to say that the Constitution was made to guard the people against the dangers of good intentions. An Adherence to the U.S. Constitution? In Washington?

"We believe that the oath of office was administered effectively and that the President was sworn in appropriately yesterday. But the oath appears in the Constitution itself,"...[article]

I'm not real excited, probably the last time this administration will follow the letter of the law.
